Chief Secretary Sindh
The world is witnessing Pakistan as an important player in the region with the Chinese mega investment plans which will bring the country closer to Central Asian Countries with a strategic role.
Mr Rizwan Memon served Sindh in various capacities, including education secretary and services secretary and before promotion to the post of chief secretary he was a senior member of the Board of Revenue of Sindh and recently when his predecessor Memon went on leave, he was given additional charge of the chief secretary.
He is the 55th chief secretary since 1936-37, when Sindh Province came into being with the separation fromMumbai(thenBombay).
Since the abolition of One Unit on 1st July, 1970, Rizwan Memon is the 39th chief secretary of Sindh. His predecessor Mohammed Siddiqui Memon handed over the charge of chief secretary of Sindh to him.
At the time of handover, Mr Rizwan Memon presented his predecessor a gift of a crest and books.
Additional chief secretary of planning and development Mohammed Waseem, secretary general of administration Saeed Awan, services secretary Jamal Abro and director of public affairs Nukhez Anwar were also present.
